International curriculum

Baridhara Scholars’ International School and College in short BSISC is an army run Educational Institution, established in 2001 at DOHS Baridhara. Under the Central Coordination Committee (CCC) of Bangladesh Army Education Corps, there are more than 30 educational institutions and BSISC is one of them. Since the beginning, BSISC has earned a very high reputation among other 30+ institutions. BSISC runs two different curriculums for the students - National Curriculum (English Version) and International Curriculum (under Edexcel). In BSISC, International Curriculum starts from Nursery to Year 12 (A’Level). Once the students finish Std. II, options are given to choose either National or International curriculum. Those who select International Curriculum, they remain under a set of well qualified and trained faculty members and appear for O’Level (Ordinary Level) Exam after completing year 10. In same manner, they appear for A’Level (Advanced Level) Exam after completing year 12. Students are provided Subject Selection opportunity once they are about to finish Std. VIII and from there on Edexcel Format is strictly followed. In O’Level, there are 03 mandatory subjects as Bangla, English Language B and Math B. Students have to appear for at least SIX subjects including mandatory ones. Optional subjects are as follows:

Students who take admission in A’Level, they have to choose at least THREE subjects and there is no mandatory system.

Once the students complete their Year IX and XI, they are opt to sit for Qualifying Mock Test. Those who qualify, they go through several Mock Tests to improve along with revision classes in Year X and XII. In between, school tries to find out weakness and leaks of the all the students and take necessary steps and do consult with the parents.

Our students do their O & A Level registrations through British Council. They collect forms from school and fill it under the supervision of the Class Teacher and Coordinator.

Our International Curriculum is very much associated with DofE (Duke of Edinburgh Award) programme. The Duke of Edinburgh's Award is a royal charter corporation. The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award Foundation, promotes the award abroad and acts as a coordinating body for award sponsors in other nations. In Bangladesh, the award is offered through The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award Foundation Bangladesh, which has been based in Dhaka since 2008. Various schools and universities participate and they achieve Bronze, Silver and Gold medals.

Our International Curriculum result is very good. Few numbers of students have achieved world highest in Accounting. Every year they receive Daily Star and Edexcel Awards for their excellent outcome.
